About us - a short history of Somerset Redstone Trust

Somerset Redstone Trust was formed on the 1st October 2000 as a result of the amalgamation of Somerset Care Trust (1992) and Redstone Trust (1996)

The Trusts objects are to care for elderly and disabled people in the UK

The Trust owns and manages 5 care homes, located in Hereford, Bromsgrove, Exmouth and Crewkerne. The Homes are:

	St Johns Court, Bromsgrove, a care home with nursing.
	Housman Court Bromsgrove, a care home and independent elderly living apartments.
	The Orchards Crewkerne a care home with nursing.
	Exmouth House Exmouth a care home specialising in the care of the mentally infirm and independent elderly living apartments.
	Newstead House a care home with nursing.
	Gatchell Oaks Taunton, an independent elderly living complex.

The Trusts' Headquarters offices are situated at Gatchell House co-located on the same site as Gatchell Oaks.
