DORSET - Deputy Manager
Signature House, Dorchester
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a strong Deputy Manager to join a fantastic growing team in a brand new, recently opened, 48 bed nursing home providing dementia, nursing and respite care situated in a prime location in Dorchester.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager in the planning, directing and delivery of high quality person centred care and will lead and manage the staff team to ensure that these excellent standards of care are delivered at all times.
The role will include clinical audits and evaluations, identifying training needs and ensuring that essential standards are met.
Individuals who apply to this position must have an RGN qualification; with a valid NMC Pin Number however RMN qualified nurses with the right type of Dementia experience will be considered. You also need to have a proven background in caring for the elderly within a nursing home setting.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and is committed to working closely with the team to achieve high clinical and care standards within this home.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills you will have the ability to share your exceptional clinical and care knowledge to support and motivate colleagues along with the ambition to improve and develop your skills. You will be effective in managing resources and be commercially aware.
It is also essential that you have an understanding of CQC requirements and knowledge of safeguarding and are committed, focussed and confident in your ability to deputise in the absence of the Home Manager.

DORSET - MAINTENANCE OFFICER
Signature House & Apartments, Dorchester
(Part time increasing to full time)
Somerset Redstone Trust is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Officer to work initially part time (20 hours), increasing to full time within a year at Signature House Nursing Home and the adjoining development of 42 apartments.
Applicants will preferably have had experience in a property maintenance capacity or from a building trade background.

If you are a Registered Nurse in the Dorchester area and want a position providing high quality nursing care, we have the post for you.
We are a Somerset-based charity formed in 2000 providing support and care for elderly people. The Trust manages 6 care homes including Signature House at the Brewery Square complex in Dorchester. Signature House is a 48-bed, state-of-the-art, purpose-built care home as well as 42 managed apartments for the over 55s.
We have vacancies at Signature House for RNs to work part and full time with day & night duties.
We offer a competitive hourly rate and overtime for which you will be required to work alternate weekends and participate in an on-call rota. We also pay a flat rate if you are required to work at short notice during a weekend. On completion of the probationary period you will be eligible to join the Company Pension Scheme.
There will be opportunities to continue with your professional development and have regular updates for best practice as staff training is a high priority within the charity.
